Pain from Tripping Can Be Hard to Bear

I was injured at the gym. Some people would have no problem admitting that, as it would indicate that they were really trying hard to reach their goals. For me though, it was just a source of embarrassment. I really didn’t enjoy telling anyone that I had to see a chiropractor in Sacramento because I tripped over a treadmill and hurt my back. I tried to give it time, but the pain seemed to just either stay the same or get worse. I knew I needed to see a professional about it, but I did not want to go to my regular doctor.

I knew that she would probably just give me some pain pills for it. While that would help in the short term, I knew that there was something really wrong because the pain should not have stayed as long as it did. I figured the best person to see would be a chiropractor since the pain was in my back, so I made an appointment with one that is not too far away from where I live. When I explained what had happened, they didn’t even crack a smile, which made me actually smile!

Anyway, I had an examination by the doctor, and she even took some X-rays of my lower back just to make sure that everything was okay. It hurt when she touched me in some spots on my back, and she told me that she was going to give me my first adjustment right then and there. When I heard the loud pop, it scared me! She explained that it was just gas being released though, and I instantly felt some relief just from that one move of hers. I went back for a few weeks, and I feel better now than I did even before I tripped over the treadmill!
