Arthritis Pain: It’s Getting Personal

My 69 year old mother is afflicted with arthritis in her back and fingers and has been for years. It is played havoc on her lower back and the joints in her fingers. She has constantly and consistently searched for something to give her some arthritis pain relief.

First, she tried cortisone shots which only lasted for a short while and then it was a wait to go back to the doctor to get another one. Needless to say, these shots are not cheap.

The doctors then prescribed her pain medication. Some of this stuff was strong too, like morphine. These helped the arthritis pain but my mother wasn’t my mother anymore. Taking powerful medications transforms you into another person.

Finally, she found a simple over the counter arthritis cream that has been able to alleviate most of her pain and it is much cheaper than doctor visits, shots and strong medicines.
